My CP is shaking really bad because of the tracking problems I've been having. When I look sideways on the main disk I don't see two blade tips as I am supposed to, but just a thick 1/2 inch gash.

When the pitch is close to zero the blades seem to track ok, but as I increase the pitch it seems one on the blades does not move consistently on a fix trajectory.

I am sure both blades have the same pitch, I glued the flybar paddles horizontally, I tried several different lengths on the head links to no avail. Any ideas?

Also, how are you guys balancing the new CP wooden blades?

My K&S blade balancer doesn’t seem to be able to handle them because of the thin mounting hole.

Make sure the spanwise balance is the same on both blades. Balance them on a ruler and mark the balance point. If both blades are not the same then add tape until they are the same.

Then install a 2mm socket head screw and nut to hold the blades together and place then between two glasses to balance.

My first set of blades were so bad that even after I balanced them they did not run smooth. I ordered another set of stock semisymmetrical blades and they were balanced perfectly. Apparently it is a hit or miss thing on how well they are matched at the factory.

Yep. The blades were way off balance. I hope this solves the problem.

Since this is a small heli I guess any unbalance will cause havoc on the head.

Thanks for the tip on how to balance the blades. It completely slipped my mind that before the time I bought the balancer I used to do it like this.

Thanks man.

also check the little balls on the linkage. Mine was doing the same thing and it was not snapped on all the way causing one blade to be way off track.
