Anyone here running these? I just saw them in the new Fly RC mag. They look nice! How much flight time are you getting from them? I'm running:

Razor V2
CC Phoenix 10
5amp tail
edf40h

Is balancing them a problem with them being a little lighter? I use 8cell 750 Sanyo's now for the voltage and weight up front! The efd40h makes it a little tail heavy, but the Sanyo's balanced it out perfectly, so i'm a little scared to go lighter on the batt's because i have the sanyo's completely in front of the front landing skids.

Try using a more versitile battery tray where you can just slide your battery back and forword.

This one works for me because I use different size packs all of the time.
TP 3s 830s (54g), lightflight 3s 1200s (75g) and TP 3s 1320s (81g). So I do a balancing act every time I mount up.

Predator, Raptor 30, TRex CCPM 450TH, 3D Pro 400F

I do have my own made custom mount. It sets in front of the landing skids! I don't want too light of a battery pack though because I don't want my canopy way out in front of the Heli like i see some! Really don't like that look!

The Apogee 830 3 series weigh 60 grams... They're light for a 3 cell pack. You'd be surprised what better power they provide though. They don't lose as much voltage under load as other cells. I run the 2 series 830's in my Hummer. It has a himax 2015-4100 main motor with a cd-rom brushless tail motor. I get 10-11 minutes just hovering..about 9 minutes FF/FFF and aerobatics. I can definately see a difference in power with these cells. I run a 3 cell Apogee on a flying wing which is amp hungry and it's clearly faster with these cells.
The 1050mah Apogees are available now, but they're 52 bucks a pop...
Be sure to land before the pack expires though. These cells dump like matched cells. There is no "nursing" the heli to the ground when they fade...it's landing...whether you want it to or not..

Yup I have 2 packs of them. Wish I had bought 4! They are great. Heaps of power, and reasonably light.

I mounted mine on a CP hummingbird under the plastic tray at the front, but on top of the carbon rods that run down the skids. I lengthened the rods to support the battery, and attach them with rubber bands. Fits nicely.

I concur with Atomheartmother, when they dump they DUMP. You have about 2 seconds to work out where you are putting down! I think I will be using a timer when flying 3D.

I would like to try the 1050s, but again as stated they are a little expensive!
