But the EVO 50 ROCKS is just a great little heli!
I had my first flight yesterday, and I am so amazed. So far it´s 100% stock, ( even the mufler ) and I am not going to upgrade much.

I am breaking in the engine as described by Ron Lund. After a tank of hovering, I did some gentle flying, running very rich. After a few tanks I did some very very mild tail slides, inv. and backwards. It flys like its on rails. Then my friend tacked it..... 1460rpm! Can only emagine when its gonna run at 1800-1900 rpm! Its flyes a little like my Freya, very predictable, and very very smooth!

When it's broken in I will change the main gear, the mufler, and maybe get a carbon tail pushrod.

Happy happy..

I think he's talking about upgrading the main gear to the delrin version. Delrin gears are quieter and offer more efficiency over the standard plastic version.

Might want to uprgrade the washout sliding hub to the metal version as it will strip if you fly even remotely aggressivley.

Dont ask me how I know....

You got both Raptor and Evo, which one is your favorite?

Be careful if you use the std Hirobo muffler exhaust included with the 50 kit.I planned to use the MP with the OS50,same as i did with a Raptor50, but because i was in a rush tried it with the std
Hirobo muffler.Even though i locked the bolt down as tight as i could and used an extra locknut it still managed to eventually rotate and melt a chunk out of the sideframe below the tank.

I gotta Webra 52 AAR + Hatori 540 pipe for my EVO. I am really looking forward to trying these Hirobo helis out since I've heard so many good things about them - they fly so well, stable, counteract the wind well and are pretty cheap to repair too. If they're as good as everyone makes out, I will think about slimming my fleet down over time to concentrate on just one or two Helis

Let me see...Sceadu, Freya, X-Spec...

Not sure if I can let go of my Vigor tho

Gimme a year and ask me what I've done then!
