I currently have 16 flights on my Fury Tempest now and just notice that the bottom corner of the main gear is wearing out. Theres white powder stuff all over the fan shroud. It wasnt like this before today's flight. I had 2 flights today, and the previous 14 flights, I did not see any sign of wear on the main gear. Can anyone tell me whats causing this? The mesh is good and theres no play on the pinion and main gear. Perhaps the main gear is breaking in? But why suddenly after 16 flights? Or other reasons that might cause this? Inputs are greatly appreciated...thanks guys.

Sound like something has moved somewhere, are you sure the gear hasnt dropped at all, and rubbing ? Try pushing the main gear up and down, to see if there is any play.

Ryan.

I checked the main gear right now and there are no up and down or side to side play on the main gear. I just dont get why its the bottom corner of the main gear thats getting the wear.

i havent had any white dust or what ever and im on my 12, or 13 gallon on my Fury. Something is obviously to tight, or hitting it. Your gear mesh is probably to tight, or your main gear is hitting something. So check those two things, and fly it again

I rolled a strip of note book paper through the main gear and pinion gear and the paper rolls through easily, so I know for sure its not too tight.
