I ve got an autorotation unit comming from Heliup, what other purpose does it serve besides letting you do an autorotation. Does it help in normal flight

It makes the flying smoother and prevents the tail blades
from rotating when you throttle down after landing (very
useful when landing in grass).

Bought it

I bought it for this purpose...
When I would be in a hover and would decrease throttle stick to make the heli lower, the blades are still connected to the motor so the motor actually drags on the blades and tries to slow the blades down. This sudden jerk to the blades causes the heli tail to have to deal with the sudden added torque which causes alittle tail spinout. I bought the clutch to prevent tail spinout when you decrease pitch.
