By the way, there is the thread: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t48884p1/ right here on Runryder explaining what the G230RC is and why it may NOT fit the P-gasser... before anyone points that out.

Anyhow, the BHHanson engine may work... if it's available.

And with the correct carb, too.

thanks for the inputs, I do not believe based on the scan of historical posts that the $235 G230RC is the ticket. I was lead to believe the case larger then the G231PUH, not willing to take the chance at compromise today.

I have a call into Bruce, we go back 20 years but lets not go there. I would like to stick with a stock motor, not dissing Bruce but for a gracefull flying scale, do you really need all that extra power?

Horizon on line inventory does show in stock but when you pick the phone up to buy it, they say sorry not in stock. Thanks

Lift, got your note, I think you and I found the same exact engine but do'h wrong carb.

any help is good help
Still looking for a new G231PUH with a 643 Carb

thanks Jax

so i went to the post office today, and what was waiting for me, my gasser. surprised it got here so fast. six days is almost a record. i was even more surprised when i opened the box, and found an engine. i thought these things were out of stock until the end of june. guess i got lucky, even more lucky it has the 643 carb. guess i am going to have a few late nights putting this thing together.

Still waiting here.

I figure that this Pred. Gasser is a victim of its own success.

James,

Is there much of a difference building the Gasser from the Glow machine? Obviuosly the engine and I'll go and read yours and Lift's building tips.

Here is a link to the gasser buildup:
http://www.rotorworks.net/viewtopic.php?t=56

The motor I was mentioning is at Rick's. He has ONE in stock and it has the 677. When I got my Gasser I called Marine Specialties here in Houston. They are RC Gas Boat gurus and had a WT-603 carb ready for me. I simply removed the choke assembly, JB Welded the holes, and have proceeded to fly the living crap out of my P-Gasser for 3 gallons(9 hours!) now with NOT ONE SINGLE problem.

For those sitting around with kits and no motors you do have options.

I heard that the bergen 26's are not stock zenoah. What I heard is that they work on the crank before they put them together.

At least that is what I heard.

both are zenoah

231 heli $285
g26 heli $300

they both have the 643 carb. the 231 has two tanks of fuel through it. and the g26 is still in the box (still in transit too). i can ship either, and ask $5.00 to cover shipping. i'll use the original packaging, and insure it.

Yes, they are pursuing that angle. Very perceptive, ASAT. Not sure on turn around time or pricing for the modified engines, but this is in process.
