I have been trying to fine tune with my hornet 2 for about 2 month now, i finally convinced my P10 governor mode wasnt working, so i switched to fixed throttle mode. Here is my question, is it normal that gyro gain varied through out the flight due to the voltage drop. Because everytime i hover with my full charge kokam 11.1v 1500 mA, i have to lower my gain to as low as 20% to stop wagging, but toward to the end of the flight i can almost set the gain up to about 60% ..... So is this normal, it is kind of annoying, or i am doing something wrong? So what should i do?? i wish the governor mode is working, because headspeed drop due to the battery voltage drop through out the flight in fixed throttle mode. And another question is that i dont think i am getting the same flight time with my my semi working governor mode before as in fixed throttle mode now, it seems like i cant hover as long....

Sorry for the long read.

Here is my set up:
Hornet 2
Hacker 20-22s with 10 T ( i am getting about 2090 - 2190 headspeed)
P10 with fixed throttle mode
Kokam 11.1V 1500 mA
MS 24 non heading lock gyro
MS one way white main gear
tail servo mount on tail vertical fin
Custom Machined MS Hornet Tail Rotor Hub & Grip Assembly from deetee
Ball Bell Crank Tail Upgrade by Walt
I dont think there is any slop or binding with the tailrotor, it is running pretty smooth with the upgrade.
I get minor vibration from main rotor and tail rotor
normal Throttle curve: 0 30 80 90 100 (hover at about 91 % throttle)
pitch curve: 30 30 50 75 100 (only running positive pitch)

I am really apprecaite for any help and suggestion

I only know what I've been reading on here, (so take what I say with that in mind) but I'm pretty sure you're going to want a lot more headspead (like 500ish rpm's more) before your tail is going to behave very well.

Have you tried bigger pinions? Any plans on a HH gyro to go with the nice powertrain?

I tried 12 pinion before when i was messing around with governor mode, but took it out because the heli tail was not controlable(now i know it is because the governor mode wasnt working). Another reason is that i heard 10 pinion will give longer flight time, therefore i stayed with 10 pinion since then. I suppose i can give 12 T a try and to see what happens. About HH gyro, i think i will probably ended it up getting it eventually, but will that solve the problem ?

Thanks for ur reply!
