my hornet 2's tail isnt quite holding very well...I have a 240 on it, and i cant get it to stop moving...either it hods really well, but has alot of wag, or it holds not very well with very little wag. i have very little slop in the tail. there is no binding, or is it catching anywere. I have no upgrades in the tail. And i dont want to put upgrades into it...Also, no matter how little i move the gain in my gyro, it stays the same...my head speed is also in the 24-2500 rpm range for a razor v2 motor

What tail servo are you using? Also, did you grease the threads on the tail rotor hub and blade holders?

how did you initially set up your tail? I would highly recommend making an adjustible pushrod, put your gyro into non-HH mode, center your rudder trim and sub trim in applicable, then hover your bird, and trim it with the pushrod until it hovers with no drift without having to correct it with the rudder stick, now turn the gain up until you get wag then go back just a little, now unplug you battery, switch to HH-Mode then do the same with the gain adjustment. Try that out it worked real well for me, I have a totally stock H-2 except for Himax brushless GY-240 and ball in swash and adjustible tail pushrod.

The HS-50 should work just fine, but definately grease those threads that go into the hub. Lithium or moly grease seems to work just fine. You should see a dramatic improvement.

when you say the threads that go into the tail hub, your talking about where you tighten down the tail blade grips...right?

The screws that hold the tail rotor blades in place (E034) do not need grease. It's the little threaded rods (E058) that go into the metal tail rotor hub that need the grease. Do not grease the end of the E058 threaded rods that insert into the black plastic tail blade holder E032, only grease the end that goes into the tail rotor hub. If you already greased the plastic, dont worry about it, i dont think it will hurt anything. It comes off easily with a little rubbing alcohol and a rolled up piece of paper towel.

I also lightly grease the tail rotor pitch slider so that it slides easier on the tail rotor output shaft. Dont let any grease get between the output shaft and the tail rotor gear E028, that will cause the shaft to spin in the gear and ruin your day.

Sorry I should have been a bit more clear about that, my first response was definately misleading.
