I need to upgrade my radio, I want a GV-1 on my Raptor 90 but I have only got a X-378 (7 Channels). I have heard you need 8 channels for a GV-1??

I was looking at getting the PCM 9X, I like Jr stuff and its always been reliable but what do you think??

I like it

Also think that you can use a GV with 7 channels, one lead to rudder channel and one for RPM switching (if you got a free channel on your rx)

'Hm now I just have to find out where to connect the GV1 sensor to the Jazz80 ESC.

I upgraded from a 3810 to the PCM9X and am very pleased with it.I am
also sure that the GV1 can be used with seven chanels, but it is nice to
have a three speed set up with eight chanels.

i downgraded from a 9ZAP to a PCM9, absolutely love it - Gv-1 and 401 in use no problems at all. nice thing about JR receiver is it has 9 channels and a seperate battery connector, (unlike the Futaba 138DP which shares ch8 with battery).

PCM9X is a great radio, but you can use your 378 with the gv1 with no problems

One thing to consider is I had to remove the two switches above the left sticks as with my finger tip style i could not get to full collective without pinching my fingers in between the stick and switchs, because the 9X has more throw than my 3810. Just because of the way I hold the sticks, but I never thought about longer throws with the added curve points. I just unsoldered the switchs and put plastic caps in the holes, now all is well.

The software is great, easy to use, but all JR's are that way.

i've had mine for a while now. i sold 3810 to get it, i use 401, gv-1's and i have a 601 to put in it now. it does these no probs.

it is the best radio i've tried, i wouldn't change it, even far a zap. the 9x is so easy to program.

cheers
