Hey Staraero1,
As long as the Raptor provides them with reliable and practical performance, for there level of flying, at a cost effective price. Logic would dictate most would be very satisfied to remain with it in many cases.
You are so right, I have a Honda Civic that is so practical that I feel guilty about longing for a Ferrari. Come on think about it people want the best even if it is so much more than they need. The high end helis are great and they are worth the money. The best thing that could happen to any hobby is a great product that anyone can afford. Before the model T only the rich had cars and they were considered toys, we never would have made the highway system that we have in this country so the rich could drive their toys around.

Thunder Tiger has the extreme low cost of labor from mainland China coupled with the extreme high quality of machining of Taiwan within easy reach of its corporate hands
No, that's wrong. Thunder Tiger is based in TaiChung, Taiwan. There are no Mainland China labor in Taiwan due to national security.

Not really in the case of Sony, it's might be the same or a little better than other prudct out there, but you bet their price is 1.5x or 2x of others.

Like Saint728 said, it's like comparing a Kia to a Ferrari.

And for all the 'upgrade' folks, you could never upgrade a Kia to match the Ferrari, either.

Fly an X-Cell, you'll see.

If cost is the only or primary point, just save a little more and get what you want - it's worth every penny!

Flying helis since gyros had springs.

Yes and thats why you are probaly unemployed or paying someone to be. In China they pay 20-30 Yuen per day thats about 3.00 American so for a 12 hour day thats about 0.25 per hour. Buy and Fly American Made. If you dont like American made than at least buy from a country that has fair labor and trade practices. Why you are out having fun with your Raptor the guys children that made it is eating spoiled veggies for dinner. Enjoy

Come on guys, lighten up a little. This post was started as a joke, however, I would love to have an xcell but I prefer not to be bent over and banged up the ass without lubricant. If MA would drop their prices, I could see spending a little money on one. Oh well Tim Schoonard must be sittin pretty while I'm out here working my ass off for a little money and trying to have a little fun.

This is funny, why cant people get there facts straight before they start pouring there infos here. I am taiwanese, and from what I know TT helis are all made in Taiwan and there are definitely no child labors in Taiwan because it is illegal over there.

lol Raptor50Flyer i hope you and everybody knows i was joking about that idea, i was just upset that people were bashing the raptor that bad, didnt mean to start a flame war.
of course you cant compare a raptor to a MA heli, in fact you CANT compare them, they both have their own pros and cons thats appealing to certain people, i think that this 'will the raptor' crap needs to stop, i hope that you and everyone didnt think i was actually thinking of putting will the raptor knock ma off the pond, of course not,it was never meant to, how about this: people who enjoy flying raptors can keep flying raptors (me included) etc, there is no law saying that people who fly MA HAS to like the raptor, and there is no law that raptor guys have to like MA we should all just fly what we want and buy what we want for our own reasons for our own enjoyment and nobody else should have a say in what a person flys, its their machine therefore their decision to own it. there shouldnt be any comparisons at all of the helicopters, they are all "R/C MODEL HELICOPTERS" and they do fly, so lets just stop this nonsense and fly what we want for ourselves, i'll tell ya what i know nobody is going to make me feel ashamed for owning a raptor, in fact if i had a choice for a big block heli, i would choose the raptor 90, why? because i know the raptors, i know how to work on them, fly them etc, i would know that it wont hurt ya to crash one, well thats my 2 cents

Another Pilots Wife

She's somebody's wife (don't remember his name). I don't know if the guy still fly's, but he started a very popular thread about posting wife pic's... He was probably one of the first to get a thread deleted on here. Seneca graciously offered to post some pics on his behalf.
