Well, the rain put a small damper on the festivities today, but still got to see a couple of great crashes!!
First, Henry Caldwell attempted an inverted auto, then flip to right side up to touch down, UNDER A TENT!!!!
This was a small beach tent, about 6x6 square, and about 7 feet high, set up on the runway.
All was looking well, but he caught one of the tent poles with one of the blade tips, while inverted, and then, well you can guess what happend next.
Then Curtis Youngblood only about 60 seconds into his night flying routine appeared to have lost the flybar and bit the dirt. Actually it landed into a muddy spot and it really did very little damage.
I say appeared to have lost the fly bar. That was everones guess, because all parts were found, and the FB was totally gone.
All in all still a good day.
Lots of great prizes given away. I personally won a Venture 50, and another guy won a P-MAX.
