I just installed the toque tube converion on my x-spec the instructions do not say if you should grease the gears in the tail box.Also do you leave a little backlash in the gears. Any information would be helpful

If you're talking about the conversion with plastic gears then you do not need grease. However, if you want to put some on the gears it won't hurt. We always greased the plastic gears on the Concepts for years and never had a failure.

The instructions don't talk about backlash or shimming. I adjust all gears using shims to get a minimum of backlash without binding.
