Here I am hovering my Eolo and all the sudden it will just drop about a foot. Scarey as heck. It has never dropped far enough to hit the ground and it doesnt appear that the motor is slowing down. Looks like a glitch to meAnybody ever had this problem? Not sure where to start looking. I have a base loaded antenna, BEC, on it

Also I got some upgrades with metal balls and the links are too tight. I dont have a small ball link reamer. so how are you guys getting your ball links silky smooth?? Thanks

I put the link on the ball and the squeeze it with pliers. Do it a few times. be gentle and make sure you dont over do it.

I have done a lot of research on glitches.

First of all the receiver makes a big difference – some just don’t work well with small EP helicopters. I found that the new Hitec Electron 6 is the best as it is dual conversion and has a filter that rejects interference very well – there are versions available for all transmitters. It is a BIG improvement over the 555!

Second the antenna and placement makes a difference. The best I have found is a Dean’s antenna mounted low on one of the font struts pointing forward. NO DOT mount on the back strut pointing aft.

As for the ball links – some were manufactured with an incorrect size and should be returned to the manufacturer for replacement.

Thanks!!!!

Thanks Guys....I will try both tips. I DO have my antenna mounted on the rear strut and pointing backwards. I will change that and hopefully that will take care of the glitch. I am using the electron6 receiver.!!

I bought this kit last summer so my links could be some of the wrong size ones. Way too tight on the metal ball upgrades I just put on.!!!!!

Oh yeah, the ball link loosening will work better using a metal ball.

Why not?
