I am looking to the 30's again. The caliber 30 looks nice with the belt drive system. The rap and evo are the normal bird but everyone says they have woof? Century junk is the cheapest but there is a reason why.

All about $300 or so w/o motor.

But century is $160. Why I got them in the first place...
But quality let me down, but man that is cheap and it flew good enough so how long should I expect these things to hold together. + I have all century parts laying around, and know the design well.

They bring you in with the low price, then keep you because of this.

Burn me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Compare apples to apples. The Hawk Sport doesn't compare to the Raptor and Sceadu, especially when you look at the 50s. The wire drive tail kills it for me. That doesn't mean it is a bad ship, I just don't think it is on the same level of quality. The pointy skids of death just add to my curmudgeoning about the Hawk.

For the record, I've owned and flown all but the caliber extensively. The sceadu is my favorite.

If you want to compare directly, try looking at the Falcon or Raven vs the Raptor and Sceadu. There isn't really a price difference. The Raven is 299, and the raptor runs about 3 hundo as well.

Bump up to the 50s, and the price break is similar. All of them are 400ish, with the century costing the most. Century does include fiberglass blades, but that doesn't really do it for me.

The sport is fun for bashing around, and flying with cheap servos, or putting into a scaler. Try not to get caught up in upgrading it into submission. Step up to the plate, buy something a little nicer, and fly it for a long time.

Thanks, John Cadwell
