Take a look on this new ship from Hirobo:
- SSR-VII rotor head as same as Eagle 3
- Include YS-91 gold head engine and Funtech muffer

http://model2.hirobo.co.jp/index.html

It is a Japanese web site but you should have no problem to find out this heli from the web site.

Looks interesting, seems like a stock Freya 90 but with the latest F3C head, probably to be used as a cost effective FAI ship.

They also added the new wc3 fan hub.also a few other goodies. Looks to be a sweet heli. I wonder what the cost is on it. Through some CX carbon frames on it and you have a sweet fai style heli for them smooth flying days.

Hi,

231'000yen list price means about 2000$...

The Eagle3 is 418'000yen list/295'000street, just for comparison.

Don't forget it comes with blades, engine and muffler.

231000 is the suggest price by Hirobo or am I missing something, most of the resellers in Asia sells the stuf at 80% of suggest price.

Check out http://www.ishiimokei.com for comparsion.

Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a S3001 on pitch??? Maybe they know something we don't!

Gear ratio of 7.75?? That's 12/93! What do you YS91 owners use?

Looks like it has the EX w/o set & swash. Sweet! Perhaps it's cheaper to buy this heli & put on CF frames than an EX/WC? Let alone E3! I heard CX will be manufacturing upper frames, that true?

Seems the E3 hub uses a collett instead of woodruff key. Most probably so that'll center better & run smoother. But I like the ease of using a key. Well, do'h, it's easier to open a lock with key!

Hmm... so that maybe the model that our local guy won in the last Hirobo cup (HK)....

Looks neato for sure.. but I'm not running out to buy one... that head isn't suitable for 3D flying. The SSZ-II (underslung flybar) head is still a lot better in my opinion.
