What are the Raptor 30 and 50 frames made out of?
If anyone knows this would be very helpful.
I am doing a school report on helis and i need this for it......

Wonder if hawksport frames would replace raptor frames,,,they are also plastic and all of mine are still intact! i can't use them in certain scale applications so they are in a box unbroken i might add!

I believe they use glass filled nylon.

foo, that boy should have his fingers stapled together.

Pieces of fiberglass are injected into the mold with nylon for reinforcement. It's the same way plastic props for planks are made.

I think Bubzilla420 is correct..
I have had a good look at mine, and it looks plastic to me, and my 2 1/2 yr old daughter confirmed my suspicions that it most definenately is black.

I don't think the 30/50 frames are glass reinforced plastic. I broke a pair of frames and saw no glass. But I have managed to wear an area on the lower frame on the 60 with the muffler and there was glass in that plastic.
