Just been upgrading my Eolo tonight and was a bit disapointed when I came to fit my new SAB blades as they seem too big around the root to fit in the blade holder ???(distance from the bolt centre to the root of the blade, not the thickness). Surely i don't have to sand them down to get them to fit ??.

Has anyone else had this problem ??.

Which eolo do you have?

The standard eolo R22 has different blade grips. The Pro version has longer grips allowing you to use carbon blades with the larger roots.

true i got different blade grips to fit my fiber blades on my R22

Is it only a mater of root thickness, or does lenght also vary between R22 grips and the Pro ones?

(those pro blade grips came along with the robbe stock pro blades I got myself)

I will let you know tomorrow as I can check and will give you measures.

YES, you may have to sand them down to fit. They work very well, however.

I dont think you have to do that unless you already have the Pro grips.

SI,

Here is what we've got

R22 grips: thickness allowance=5,5mm
lenght allowance (to bolt hole)=10mm

Pro grips: thickness allowance=5,5mm
lenght allowance (to bolt hole)=12,5mm

So yes, the Pro grips will let you fit in longer rooted blades

Is you Sab blades lenght from end to bolt hole<12,5mm, that is the question!

I found this problem with the BBT main blades one the root of the blade was too thick i use the QUK blade grips i ended up sanding the root of the blade to suit and then rebalancing the blades

Thanks for that. Changed grips over to the Pro blade holders and problem solved.

Also got the quick main hub, swash and mixers....damn this thing is getting addictive!!.
