Hi John

Interesting about the belt tension.

Is loosening the belt a proven theory, I take it to reduce load on the motor etc etc

Cheers

my experence so far.... 5 charges on each pack 20 flights.

Hey,,,

I am currently getting about 7min without the mount on right now.

I have 4 nickel metal packs and I cycle them,

pack1, pack2, pack3, pack4, pack1 and so on...

I have had approx 20 flights right now, and I noticed an increase in power and flight time so far. I have cycled/ charged each pack for flying 5 times each.

I am getting about 7 mins right now, were i used to be getting just over 6.

NOTE: I must say that I do have my belt tension on the tigher side then the loose side right now, but since you can seem to adjust the tension easiler to get more flight time ( ie: move the tail pulley gear assembly back 1-2mm in the frame set, then this would be a move I will do soon ).

JOHN: Thanks for your comments here I was wondering the same and tried getting a hold of you for some time now without luck.

NOTE: This Voyager 50 E machine is built with one purpose in mind from what i have read and discussed, aerial photography.

As such, its not expecting to be flown like a 3D ship.

I did some very mild 3D, stall turns, funnels, piro' circles etc... but only mild.

With this mild 3D I was getting about 6 mins -- right now after 5 charges of my packs.

I have not flown it with the camera gear on it yet, ( YET! -- but soon ! ), but today I flew it like I was taking shots. Very slow flying, stopping, hovering, etc.. etc... going from on location in the sky to another hovering..

I got 7 mins this way... I still have a pretty tight belt right now.

thanks, and cheers,
Dean

5 1/2 with gear on

I am getting 5 1/2 mins of usable time flying with the camera gear on and flying it like a camera ship.

My telt is a little tight so this draws power.. when I loosen it a little I am guessing to get longer flight times.

cheers,
Dean

6 1/2 with gear on.

I am now getting 6 1/2 mins flight time with the gear on.

I did a shoot the other day af another local field here and got 6 1/2 mins with the gear on. All of this time was useful flight time. I could have more then likly did some slow/low ground manuevers (piro'ing etc.. ) for at least another min.

The packs ( 3300 nickel metal ) packs seem to be breaking in a little.

Cheers,
Dean
