Hi gang
I went to my LHS to get a new 90 clutch, I normally get QuickUK but the Q was £30 and the TT HD clutch £20

I know back in the mists of time there were a lot of issues with TT clutches

Has anyone got an opinion on the latest batch?
Many thanks

Paul

I have never had any problems with the TT90 clutch.

No matter which one you use make sure the clearance is correct, as some clutch liners are a little thin from the factory. I used JB weld to build up the bell a little before I installed the liner.

As a matter of interest what clearance R U giving the clutch with a new liner..I just fried my Quick UK one..I originally used 1 wrap insulating tape but it dragged & had to open out the gap to around 2 wraps.

Kicking myself I was in idle up..I yanked off the fuel line but by the time it burnt the fuel off..& I had fumbled for the switch...it had gone to heaven...
just ordered the TT one as i'm skint

Crivens ... 2 turns of tape ..no wonder your skint

They tcheuchters don't know them's born .. I lived on Skye for a year .. post took about that to arrive

Been there done that .. step 1 ..adjust GV1 ..normal 1550 ...idle 1 ..1680 (slowly increase as I run the PS in ) ... switch on ... start ... get dragged round the field to the aromatic smell of cooking clutch...

Allways panic and try to grab the fuel line rather than hitting hold or normal

Next trip .. forget and do it again ...

I use 2 turns of tape and wrap the clutch in cling film .. epoxy up the liner ..JR are a good alternative to the blue TT ones .. jam it all in (being VERY careful not to get lumps of epoxy on the flat inside of the bell ..ask me why ?? ) seems to give about spot on clearance.

I've got the QuickUK clutch and bell. They're both works of art and have performed perfectly on my Raptor 70.

That's why I use one wrap of tightly stretched electrical tape. Then cram it in with waxed paper over the clutch. With the waxed paper wrapped on the clutch you won't accidently glue the clutch in along with the liner and gives you a ****hair more clearance. Just right.

I lost my infamous tag line.
