Well, Im a noobie pilot and my hummingbird seems to be attracted to walls or anything it can hit and land hard. So far i've broken 2 flybars and im just wondering if any of you guys use like metal rods from a hardware store instead of the stock carbon rods? Any suggestions?

Metal rods

Well you could change to metal rods, but then of course the next thing in line will break. You would do better to find out why you are hitting walls.I am flying a Hummer and this is my first heli of any kind,I am getting through the learning stage and can hover well and trim it out,and keep it in one place. One thing I found is, when I was first learning,it is not as easy to trim a heli as a plane. What that caused for me was,I didn't really feel right away that it is out of trim, you can't tell right off.You are going back and fourth, side to side, with the right stick just trying to keep it in one place. And when you see you have it kind of calmed down and in one place, you kind of relaxe the right stick, without thinking, thinking that will keep you there, but if you are out of trim,it throws you right to the wall. For me the big jump came when, a heli "pro" trimed my Hummer out, and then I flew it.That was when I started to learn. Hope that helps .
