I love ThunderTiger. Thanks to them, Kyosho was forced to build the Caliber 30 and now plastic versions of their big birds. Now we’re making progress. Thanks ThunderTiger! Long live Kyosho!

Then, why you have to mention that everytime you're in a pinch with me?

That makes me feel very proud because that means you consider me as a good online pilot and feel good saying you beated me once in the past.

And, I did that because I enjoy doing it. I've beaten others and would never ever mention that in a post myself.

You've answered a question about yourself: the reason why you've lost so much popularity.

Enjoy your world Sen.

Giving away a product that is made by 6year old kids in Tiawan to save a buck is not my idea of "free market" bottom line is someone has to pay the price in todays world.
Dude, at least get your fact straight. It's spelled Taiwan and you can't hire anyone under the age of 16 in Taiwan. Don't confuse Taiwan with china.

Thats just what I heard. There are no facts that a Raptor is a better machine either yet we continue with this crap based on hearsay.
I never said Raptor is or is not a better machine, I just want get you to use the facts. Since Raptor is no longer made by 6 years old kids, therefore it's free market.

My observations / 2 cents

a) You all should stop the personal attacks, you appear quite childish in the eyes of your peers.

b) Supply and demand. Much like car manufacturers. If you can not compete in a free market, you fail. Period. But as demand would have it, another company will rise tomorrow to cut into those prices yet again.

The best companies are the ones who stay competitive and fluid in the industry. This is much more difficult then it sounds. It takes money for R&D as Seneca has stated, manufacturing, advertising and distribution etc. But it also takes a little ingenuity to boot.

As far as simulators are concerned, I am the product of one. Whenever you dedicate that much time to something you are bound to learn a few things

Please.. enjoy the hobby, and be kind to your fellow pilot.

The Raptor is the most popular helicopter at this point in time. Yes it is cheap, but that is what makes it so popular. It is cheap, yet very popular because of what you get for your money. It is very reliable when built and mainted correctly. Additionally, it flys well enough that most of us sport flyers could never really use the total flying potential of it anyway. For example, most people can probably fly a Raptor much better, then say a Fury. This is simply because you don't need to take out as second mortgage to repair it, right after a crash with one. So right now this clearly means it has some advanteges and appeal, many other model helicopters simply can not provide to an average flyer like myself.

No product in any industry can get as popular as the Raptor helicopter has become in this hobby, when it is not liked by the most cross section of users. Just can't happen that way. Bad news travels fast, once it is recognized. So to date the Raptor may be considered junk, by some of the high end self appointed expert helicopter flyers. However at this point in time, it is considered by most sport helicopter flyers to be the best buy in the model helicopter fleet today. These users are really the bulk of the helicopter hobby industry anyway. The ones any MFG is anxious to please. Thunder Tiger did a good job of filling this segment of the market, with the introduction of their Raptor helicopter line.

Hey Jerky,The price of a SHuttle ZXX was almost $400 when the Raptor came out the Sceadu came out well above the Raptors price also, these price similarities have only recently been as close as they are and that is due to the competition with a product that was given away in the beginning because it was manufactured by children.
Hey, why don't you stop pulling stuff out of your behind?
Hire anyone under 16 in Taiwan is against the law.

I don't think the manufacturer's have a significant involvement in the decision to buy any particular helicopter kit.

The choice is always made by the individual based on magazine reviews, hobby shop referals, advice from fellow modellers and similar influences.

This would mean that experienced modellers have been giving new modellers bad advice. Or not, depending on your point of view.

I am a victim of this bad advice, I would gladly trade my grounded 50-size helicopter for a pair of Shuttle +'s so that I would always have one to fly.

Well, are you willing to pay much higher price because it's Made in USA? If not then there's nothing you can do about it. Business is about maximum their profit and make their share holder happy. If you have stock, I am sure you would like the company to make as much money as possible so you get more share.

I have a Raptor and a Vigor and I like both of them very much. Don't see what the big deal is.
