Vigor - before you fit it will you please do me a favour and have a look at the barrel screw - the flat headed screw that sits in a groove cut into the throttle barrel. I've been having problems with mine and it would be helpfull if you could see if the studded end is totally round or has a flat side to it.

Ashley,
got the carb and am looking at the throttle guide / stop screw.

after the threads there is 3mm of bar with a flat bottom, having said that there is a slight chamfer from the bottom to the sides, very slight though, hardly noticable.
definatly flat bottom where it rubs on the barrel..

Thanks - but is it round - not the bottom but the studded non threaded part ? -
here's the pics of what mine look like

no probs,
i must say the replacement you have looks like its been filed by someone, not machined.
hard to tell i suppose from the photo.
but IMHO id just say its the wrong part theve sent.
