Hi,
Supertigre card part No SUPG1814
Is this the correct carb for the OS50 replacement?

Is this carb used on the majority of supertigre engines?
Im going to order one from "Just engines" in the UK but obviously dont want the wrong one.
Supertigre make heli engines and aero engines but reading a previous thread points me in the direction of using a carb from a ST G-61 aero.

Is this different from the carb off the heli engines or are all the carbs generic, ie same one fits all from the .40size upto the .90 size? and therefore share the same part number as above.?

Thanks for your inputs.

That is the right one for the OS50, hubby just fitted one on his OS50 on Monday will be trying it out this weekend.
It is in the parts list for the SuperTigre G-61 engine :SuperTigre Carburetor S61-S3000/MAG S61-S3000.

One other thing

He had to buy an extension for the throttle arm too, the original was getting caught up in the main body frame.
He has a raptor 50,not sure if all frames on helis are the same.

Tris,
They're £32 from just engines plus £1.50 p+p
just ordered one 15 minutes ago so the price shouldnt have changed too much in that time.

Super Tigre Carburetor Part #

Vigor3DFX

Caz has referenced the correct application.
It is in the parts list for the SuperTigre G-61 engine :SuperTigre Carburetor S61-S3000/MAG S61-S3000
The part number on the Super Tigre operating instructions booklet is 12163246.

"SteveH" here on RR has done this revision and would be more than glad to give you any setup tips. I believe he told me the High Needle was at 2 3/4 turns out and the Low Needle was at 4 turns.

Another RR member "Joe Ubaldo" had his set at 3 turns out on the High Needle and 7 turns on the Low Needle.

Just some information that may be helpful. Let us know how your helicopter performs after this modification.

one more thing

one more thing vigor3dfx,
If your fitting it to your rappy 50 you need to also `mod` the frame slightly because the throttle barrel not only rotates it moves in an out
by a couple of mm`s its a trial and error thing I offered up the engine to the clutch then rotated the throttle arm back and forth shaving a small amount off the frame each time until it rotated freely.
If you dont want to `mod` the frame you could file a small
amount off the throttle arm either way works.

BTW the part number for the throttle arm is CN2154 at £8.99 from Midland Helis.

Carb

Tris I sent away for two carbs for myself and Mal from Tower hobbies. We paid £25 shipping included for each carb. The part number for the extended throttle arm is CN2154 ,and Midland have them in stock.

What heli

Tony (Vigor3DFX)
I had the os50 in my Voyager 50 but have purchaced a new Webra 52 which is now in the Voyager . So the os50 is sitting there with the new carb waiting to go in the Evo 50 when I win it on the raffle.
Have you got your carb yet or are you waiting for it to arrive.

awsome!

Guys this carb is awsome,I have just had a test flight the power is obscene and its still running way to rich,I dropped the throttle curve to
0,20,38,58,85 with pitchs of -2,+6,+9 and its still pulling like a train.
