I have purchased a few upgrades from Horizon. The revolution gold parts.. I was wondering.. are these good for the Rap V2?
and if anyone has the blade grips and hub.. I am needing a little help on the installation. I am not for sure if I have it correct.
Any info would be great,
Thank you,
Brett

Damn I wish they would put a little piece of paper with some instructions on it. I mean really... is it that hard?

Your not alone on this

I too got the gold head and gold Blade grips. Can tell you it looks like the grips are for V2 only?? I have a V1 and my feathering shaft is too small (OD) for the bearings (ID). Yeah, they supply the grips, thrust bearings, bushings for the blade bolts, and feathering shaft bearings - no instructions as too what's what..................... I can only assume that I need the additional washer/spacers as what is in the V2 head as opposed to the V1 and put it together - this means I have to get the V2 feathing shaft and additional hardware. Looks like I'll be flying a half-breed............V1 heli with a V2 head........................... Any input from you guys out there???? The parts are nice and you can't beat them for the money. Only reason I bought this initally was my thrust bearings and feathering shaft bearings were shot - for few more bucks I was able to get the aluminum blade grips. Thought what the heck and got the head too which appears to be quite good quality wise. Any input folks???

IS THERE NO ONE HERE THAT CAN HELP?????

Is this stuff junk or Revolution has serious issues????? Blade grips aren't working out here - seems like the feathering shaft is too short and the socket head cap screws can't reach..............Anyone?????????
Hope for some help - thanks.

I have been flying the revolution Head block, seesaw, washout, and swash on R50 for about 5 gallons now, I am very very impressed with the parts, I believe they are only for the V2, but as for the grips, I can't help except make sure the bearings are installed correct, the head block is a perfect fit, the tolerances are very very tight which I liked, my block fit my main shaft tight and my dambers were snug in the block, over all the head is real tight with no slop at all after 5 gallons of flying, just like when I put it on. my guess is your bearings are not completely seated in your grips, the bearings on both the headblock and seesaw were tight, I pressed them in carefully, so check these again see if they will seat some more. but stock grips fit perfect with the revo block.
Good luck, it really improved the overall flying of the Raptor

Thanks concept1

You hit the nail on the head - the outer feathering shaft bearing (closest to the blade was not fully seated - anodizing makes her really tight. Got everything together - Nice!!! Agreed - tolerances are very tight and smooth!! Looks like a good bang for the buck!
Jon, are you aware that there's a helo club that flies at the Canfield Fair Grounds?? It's the Youngstown Radio Controlled Helicopter Association.
