Well, it's official. I had my first crash today. I had to replace a servo on my Evo. 50 last week because it failed. The servo was a JR and I replaced it with a Futaba, but stupid old me forgot to reverse the servo before going to fly. The heli stated to come at me, and pushing forward on the stick only made it come at me more. So, I basacally had to ditch it. Shouldn't be too bad. All in all about 100 bucks for a boom, blade grips, and some blades. I'm just lucky I didn't turn on the govenor.

I never had that problem with a heli but I did have it happen once with a plank.

I check the direction of all my controls before I even start the heli.
Once the heli is started I spool up the main and get the heli close to lifting off and check again. I will check right, left, forward and back cyclic along with verifying tail movement.

If you get into a habit like this you will never have the problem again.

err...

You are not the only one. I have done that at least 3 times....forgetting to reverse the servo setup in my RX. Boy... that scare the sh* out of me and I only pondered at how stupid I am for not patiently check the Heli before flying. PRE-FLIGHT CHECK IS VERY IMPORTANT. DON'T SCREW YOURSELF FOR NOT SPENDING <1 MINUTE DOING IT. I am talking to myself.
