7º is plenty, 8º too much, so what headspeed and paddles are you running. V2 or V1 head?

Try K&S Paddles..

That will speed up your rolls and flips.

I am 7 degrees each way, the ball link in washout unit is in the outer hole.
The TT paddles are screwed in the flybar out as you just see the flybar from the hole on the paddles.

I hope that helps.

KSJ Paddles - like Naomi shows will help the most. Front hole is mild and rear hole is wild... Seven degrees with a cyclic ring so no binding and mine is real touchy on the back holes...

I tryed the yellow ksj paddles as I didn't have to go with a 4mm flybar
but i thought those were kind of pitchy in forward flight (even sanding a little the leading edge and using the front hole)

i wouldn't recommand them

I've flown a Raptor 50 with the white MA light paddles (20g) and these are much better to me.
Next mod on my 50V2 is getting those paddles with proper flybar, caus it's true stock paddles aren't very responsive, stable though...

I just switched to 80mm / 3mm V paddles,
These things along with an MP2q have done great things to how my raptor responds.
I used to use the KSJ paddles, there ok but a little twitchy, made the machine feel a bit "nervous".
I like the V paddles also because they have locking screws (like the stock paddles) so they dont require jb welding on.
Ive tried sceadu paddles, MA, Kalt space barron, the V blades give best all round feel to me.

Al is very correct I would bet it is either not enough ATV or upgraded controls rods which inhibit the through make sure you check your through in the proper postion of the rotation and there is no binding, good luck

I tried the KSJ's and found them too pitchy, the MA's 20gram were the best for me. That's with NHPs on the mains. Rolls really well

for those using those MA 20g paddles

what do you exactly have to change when you want to run these paddles?
which brand for replacement parts?

caus I won't have a chance of seeing the guy who let me try his Raptor with this setup

Thanks

You don't have to change anything. The white paddles fit straight on a 3mm flybar. You just have to glue them on.
