I,m building a Xspec and want to install the carbon dampners,
My question is does anyone know how to get the old dampners out of the head block, They are really tight and will not come out.

Thanks
Happy flying to all

dampner

Either you can dig em out with a small screw driver or something of the sort or you can take the head off the hub. Do that by taking the four head screws out. Then you can just push them out.

They do not come out by just pushing on them and im afraid im going to hurt the head if I have to bang on them. Are the dampners glued in?

I would take the head yoke off and push them out from the back. It is more work then just getting in there with a screw driver but I think worth the extra time.

Also when you do get them out MAKE SURE you use RED locktite on the 4 head bolts. Also you will want to make sure they are really tight (with out stripping them).
