Has anyone had a problem with their carbon boom, the One I have seem like it wants to slip and the belt becomes loose. I had thought about scuffing the sides so it gets a better grip when you tighten the frames. Any help?

I fly a R50v2 with a Carbon boom and no problems whatsoever..

I did use some Silicone on the tailcase and the rod support thingies, maybe that would also be a good idea too use on the frame side of the boom, to stop the slipping. The best thing about silicone is that you can easily get is off and it`s not agressive or anything.

I use the type of silicone that is used to make aquariums (water tanks?), I bought is at the DIY in a small tube...

Cheers,

Rich

sand the end of the boom up that goes into he main frames, if it still slips try a very small drop of cyno, should hold then, and you can always crack the glue joint when it has to come out, if you dont use silly amounts of glue

Thanks to all for the info. I think I will go with Dokey and sand the boom.
