I have just taken a look at the heli-up third bearing upgrade and was thinking that it might solve my problems with stripping/damaged gears. However i did notice that some of the parts seem to come quite low down on the main chasis.

Would this not effect the battery supports that come with the Eolo Pro?

cheers

What i had to do is cut the battery plate where the 3rd bearing screw came out and all was good.

Thanks for the help.

I will have to take a look when it arrives, i just wanted to make sure it was possible without having to loose the battery support

I went even further than drilling a hole for the bearing. I took my scroll saw and cut away some more unessesary plastic to save some weight.

If you go Lipo, you can remove the battery tray completely.

Well I have lipo and still use the battery mounts. Im useing a 3s4p setup. I put a pad between the supports and my pack. Your right though if you go to a 6s,5s, or a 3s2p setup you can just remove the whole thing because you have to mount the packs in the front anyways.

I have a 3s4p pack, it sits between the legs just nice without the battery tray. I use the velcro tei setup from http://www.rchover.com

I also use two velcro straps. I just them to hold the pack and then I use rubberbands to secure it from sliding back and forth. I have the pad between the pack and the mounts because I dont want the pressure to be put on the pack from the landing gear legs.
