15 minutes

15-20 minutes, more or less. I haven't really timed it but I know that you get at least 15 minutes

I dropped in a os 60b carb into my 50 and an added bonus besides more power and smoothing out the engine was added flight time. I generally average 14-15min a flight out of my engine w/ the 60b on it. easier than moding the frames and wont add more weight to the heli.

just thought I'd offer that up.

Adrian,
"If you can fly 15+ mins on a tank then your not trying hard enough :-)"
Is this because I should be mentally exhausted before the 15 minute mark or should I have crashed by the 15 minute mark??..............
Rogers,
Good idea except aren't those carbs pricey to purchase--$60.00 or something--if you don't already have one lying around AND if you already have the stock carb adjusted right

The abd thing about a bigger gas tank can actualy mean a waste of fuel. Adding more weight can reduce time but at the same time increase the flight time. The ratio gets thrown off so some of the fuel goes to waste trying to keep the heavy weight up in the air while the other percentage is actualy th flight time. if some how the weight was no factor, then the heli could fly for as long as the fuel burns but because we live in a world were defying gravity requires a few things, its actualy wasting fuel more than giving you increased flight time. I suggest the highest you go is the 60 size but anything bgiger is really a waste of fuel. The stock fuel tank size is by far the ebst way to go with the header tank in my opinion. Anyone who thinks different can gladly go ahead and correct me.

I have been runnjing a 60 tank for a year now.

And definently seem to get a little longer flight times.Never timed it though.I also run a header tank as well. With my gyro,6 C-cell rx battery pack, and GV1 all up front,Having the bigger tank really balances it out.I am ready to take a break when I get down to my header tank.

Good Luck Corey I PAY-PAL

5 minutes? How big is your header tank? If I fly hard I get 8 to 9 minutes.
If I take it easy I get 15 minutes. Stock tank w/2oz header.

What was my tag line? AMA 139721

DjLock- To most of us, wasting fuel is acceptable as long as we get longer flight times. As long as we don't have any perceptible changes in flight qualities we don't worry about it.(I.E.-lugging around a gallon of fuel to get 25 minute flight times.)
