So i have already bent one of my tail booms on my raptor. I was wondering whether or not carbon tail booms break or bend easy. would i save money in the long run if i were to buy it carbon than the stock one?

Not if you are crashing. The metal ones are so cheap it is unreal.

Carbon splinters when you crash. If you crashed hard enough to mess up a metal boom chances are your carbon boom is broken too.

If all you did was dent the boom you can pop it back out by running a slightly undersized dowel down the boom. If you creased it you might consider buying another. Or 2 or 3. Raptor booms are cheap.

Thanks, John Cadwell

brian12,you really have to be careful if you are trying to take dents or straighten the tail booms on rappys .. The metal is very thin and will fatigue very easily when you do that .. I know the hard way !! They really are cheap enough to just replace it and be safe..
