Since recent posts have reminded me of the length of time I have spent on this planet, how about ....
What was your very first helicopter ?
I go back a bit and it was a MICRO MOLD LARK about 1980 " fixed pitch " no gyro, and a plain H.B. 20 motor - unless you were very rich you started it by flicking the knurlled flywheel with your thumb.
The best flight achieved was on a really warm day , and I think it only left the ground because a thermal went through. It went up and came down hard but flat discharged the rx battery and went off again , it eventually was brought to a halt by someone throwing a coat over it!!!

First Heli

Revolution II, fixed pitch, Webra Speed 61, Mac's Helioball muffler, no gyro, Kraft 7 channel. Add power, right rudder, decrease power, left rudder.

What a hoot! Hover, forward flight, hammerhead turns, hover, land.

Refuel while trying to get knees to stop shaking.

Schlueter Cobra with a Super Tigre Blue Head, no gyro and MRC radio (model, I don't remember), circa 1970. Had those nasty training gear that attached to the pylon just below the rotor head, spring-loaded as I recall. Never got it more than about 4 inches off the deck.
