Hi
My fuel in my fuel tank keeps frothing/foaming. Can you help me with my problem. I have replaced gears on the motor, new spindles, new blades, new shaft and still have the same problem.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
B/T

That is a good indicator that the engine is not tuned right on the skyfox. Richen the idle mixture a little and see if that helps.

I tryed that but no difference. the model comes off the ground to the hover and about a minute later the tank starts to get air bubble that swirl around. this affects the mixture and the motor begins to run faster and faster until it misses and looses power. Put it back on the ground and wait, then bring it up to a hover and same thing happens. I've checked the fan and clutch assemble for balance and every thing checks out fin, I brouhgt new gears because they where worn. I balanced tail rotor blades and checked head balance and no luck. I'm at my wits end. where to now.

foam

Based on what you are saying , it sounds like you have a problem of it going lean, then overheating, only a suggestion---open up the low side one half turn, go into a hover, if its too rich, lean the high side a bit and see what happens.

you may have some restriction in fuel delivery or leak in line.

good luck

Yes I know its running lean because its sucking the small air bubbles from the tank. What is causing the high frequency vibration to make the tank froth/ foam in the beginning.

on my vario evolution with the rossi engine
the fact that it was lean to begin with caused the air bubbles and foaming, when you start to hover the engine is cold wich is why it's o.k to start but once it reached it's temp it leans out then you get more air bubbles and foam.go on the rich side low speed needle t'il it stops or gets better ,it should.
when your to rich the heli should have trouble lifting off then you can lean little by little.

steff

Problem solved

Thanks for your input. I did all the things you guys suggested. I disconnected the pressure feed from the pipe and that made no difference to my high frequence vibration. I made the mixtures rich and that slows the RPM. Then there is no bubbles, and no head speed, and the model didn't come onto the pipe. So I put it all back the way it used to be and sure enough the tiny little bubbles came back. The fuel in the tank turns white with bubbles. As I said earlier in my post I changed every thing and out of desperation I pulled the ROSSI down and there it was, the big bearing didn't feel good. So new bearings and back together she when. Guys she's sweet as. Head speed 1500 rpm to 1800 rpm and not a bubble to be seen. Just for reference I ran the motor very lean and no bubbles. .

Fixed just in time for winter

It's all fun isn't.
