I am completeing a Bell 205 gasser. The problem I have run into is with the Vario exhaust which is made for this heli (116/85) The exhaust comes out the top of the model just like the real heli. There is a flexible stainless steel pipe which connects the manifold to the exhaust pipe. The one supplied with the muffler is almost exactly the lenghth of the area that needs to be connected, not leaving any room for the hose to clamp to either end. The teflon hose that Vario has comes in 100mm lengths and is not long enough by about 50mm.
I have checked local sources and the smallest flexible tubing I can find is 1" in diameter not the 7/8" that comes with the muffler.
I have cut the ccpm frames as instructed in the instructions and the exhaust fits nicely and protrudes just the right amount.
I was hoping to have this heli flying by Circumgyration but I obviously must have this problem fixed first so I can run the engine. Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
