While building my tail case I noticed there are some holes and spaces for what I would think should be guides for the belt. However as far as I can tell these spaces are just left open? Does this bother anyones else but me?

Look above the Hirobo logo on the tail case

I could be wrong. But I believe those are for the torque tube.

I was told they are there to allow easy access to check belt tension and wear which really made sense to me.

those holes and space are for the bearing block
for the optional torque tube setup.

You'll find similar holes on the mainframes.

All normal, no problems at all with it, as z said, for tube drive bearing block.

Makes it a optional belt tension checkpoint also.
