it was the other way around for me, the hobby has benefitted my work.

I run trains by r/c for a living.....I literally get about 2000 hrs of 'stick time' a year not nearly enough of it on helis though.

my job actually hurts my flying.
I travel a lot in my business and thus it is weeks or more between flights. It also hurts my scale building as my projects sit for a while due to my absence.
But at least it pays for all the toys my wife buys me.

no i drive for merit they supply the trailers and i delivery all kinds of meats all 48 states

Does your job help your flying?

I am a concrete pump operator. Its run by remote control. Its not really hard to do, but its absoulutly unforgiving, especially in Arizona summer.
