Are you able to switch from HH (head and hold) to non HH via the handset ? I can adjust the sensitivity but can’t figure out how to switch in an out of HH mode. Is this possible or am I asking too much from the humble RD6000

Any help would be great

Thanks

Yes, and No! I just got a new RD6000 super, and I love it! I too was puzzled. When in heli mode, the channel 6 (landing gear switch) becomes the flight mode 3 switch. You can program one of the C-mix switches to work as a switch for HH and non HH mode. There is a post about it somewhere here on RR. Do a search on RD6000 or RD8000 and look through the posts, you'll find it. I moved up from a Futaba T6XH, and I don't mind being in HH all the time, so I haven't programed differently. With either the 6000 or 8000, don't forget to turn the "BASIC" menu OFF, under the etc menu. You get lot's more options for programing. The radio had me confused for a few days, but I finally got over the learning curve, and now, it's a piece of cake. A great radio for the price!
