Planning to upgrade and I have a few questions. I have a Q30 learner and ordered the metal head is that a bad idea? After all the learner head is probably lighter though not quite as strong right? And I was going to upgrade the frame to the carbon version for weight and appearance. But then I have to worry about all the necessary linkages involved in relocating the elevator servo. Granted there is only a few pieces. Am I better off just upgrading to the metal frame it's looks like it a less abrasive procedure compared to the carbon frame. And metal would give me better vibration absorption Yes?
Performance wise I might not even be worth the upgrade. But I just want to do this for appearance. And I just enjoy the assembly process. and now that I know more what I'm doing I'd like to do it all over again. I'm sorry I have to ask so many questions.

Q1- Does the weight difference of the carbon frame make it worth while even though it won't provide the same vibration absorption properties?
Q2- If I do upgrade to the metal version is it just metal frames, Metal cross members, auto rotation clutch, & Metal guide assembly?

Thank you
Mathew

The main advantage to the carbon fiber other than the lighter weight is the fact that in a hard crash they will flex, not bend or break. I have put my Quicks in a number of times in the last couple of years and some of them were pretty bad. I have replaced a number of components of them but have yet to need to replace a single carbon fiber part(other that the fins ).
