I'm having some problems with my Raptor 30 V1. When I put more power to up the heli, It wobbles a lot and I need to land. After a few second, I don't have more wobble, but if I put power again during the new flight, the wooble begin again.

What do I do???????????????

I'm going to change all bearing, but I found a option to repair my problem. Please see here http://www.raptortechnique.com/repa...ionbbblock.htm, and talk me about it.

I not sure, if doing this, my problem dissapear.

Could you help me?

does this only do it every time you start a new flight? or the first flight every day?

hmm, sounds like something is out of ballance. Check your blades first for balance (cg, weight, cord cg, ect.) check that your main shaft is verticle w/ you start shaft (parallel too each other). Also check your main shaft is strait and bearings are good. Do a search if you need more in depth info on each of these.

Also, is it wobbling on the ground (concrete, asphalt)? Or wobbling in a hover? If it’s wobbling in a hover then I would say it' def. a balance issue.

Gidday

Sounds like classic slow head speed,

does it sound like wahh or burr ??

get a rev counter or d'load some videos and turn the volume up and then listen to yours.

1700-1850 is a good place to start.

Regards Don

Carlos,

another possible neglect is:

1. main blades bolted on too tight, solution:

loosen up both and test that they are equal in retention on the grips, to the point where you can flick a blade off center with yr finger at the blade tips, but not too much slack (blades folding and hitting the boom while on spool up), while the other hand holds the corresponding blade grip.

or...

2. still using training gear, and either using rubber bands or plastic tie wraps, attached to the landing gear struts/skids overly tight and not allowing the the attachment to flex adequately to dampen any possible transversal oscillation that a single piston engine is allowed to reach and maintain it's natural harmonic rhythm and thus amplify its vibration/oscillation of the heli's chassis, solution:

reduce the tension on the points of attachment.

the second condition happened to me while i still on t/gear, my heli was oscillating so much, after i landed, the flybar was bent 20 degrees on either side! i took off my t/gear prematurely and wow, i discovered that i could hover much better w/o the t/gear! i was ready for the world of helis...

hope all this makes sense and provides assistance.

Look at greasing the dampener rubbers, and speeding up the head speed.

All is good.

The wobble is when, I'm in hover and after I put more power quickly to up fast my rappy.

The only way to fly without wobble again, is land the rappy and down the rpm.

The blades are balanced, the main shaft is vertical, the dampers has grease, I don't have a trainer gear, the flybar is good, the main grip are good too, I don't think the wooble is for low speed, because the woblle is when i change too fast the rpm in my rappy, the sound is like a wicky, wicky, wicky, I down the gain (I have a gyro 401/9253) etc, etc, etc....., but I have the problem.

Humor us on the headspeed. Raise the throttle curve at the hover point, say, ten points or so, as an experiment.

Many years ago my friend had the same problem with his Shuttle, it suddenly started to wobble, he put i back on ground, lifted it up again, and the wobble was gone. He could fly for a while, and then suddenly it started to wobble again. We spendt many evenings to trace the problem. We put parts from my Shuttle over to his Shuttle, The rotorhead, the tail, and many other things. The problem was still there. At last we investigated the clutchbell-shaft, and we found out that the inner ring had been spinning and worn the shaft. We glued the inner-ring with epoxy to the shaft, and the problem was gone. Who the hell could imagine that this was the reason, but it really was. It flew perfectly after that fix, and the problem was gone. So, the point is, check the starteshaft, so see if the inner-ring of the bearings has worn the shaft.
Maybe this is a blind shot, but it would be worth to check it out.
