Well the price isn't $259.00.
If you would take the time to look at the Arizona Heli site you would have realised that the price is more like $150.00 which I think is a bargain for the quality of work that you get.
Will it make my flying any better ?
Nope.
But you see it is MY money and I will choose to spend it in any way I see fit.

C'mon Georg

Stop defending your expensive canopy, you know its a waste of money, plastic canopies are the way to go, and it keeps the weight down on the heli to boot.

Admit it Georg which do you fly your heli with the most, the $150 canopy, or one of your plastic canopies? I'll bet its the plastic!!!

Yep Bye Bye.

The odds are if Georg crashes it will have the plastic canopy onboard, and he would end up replacing that one, the fiberglass one he uses for fun flys, and when at home drooling over it.

It depends on which canopy you buy and where you live. The Fury canopy I got cost $189.00 plus $55.00 for shipping. So that's $244.00 for mine and I have to wait until the first week in June to get it and I ordered it a month ago.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Why $55 dollars shipping? Is someone taking a Row Boat to Australia?
The box he ships the canopy is huge, plus it's an International flight. I bought a Vigor CS kit from Heliproz and they charged me $300.00 for UPS shipping. I'm sure if they sent it by ship it would be way less, but I'm not willing to wait 2-3 months for my things.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Thanks Guys!!!

Thanks to everyone that replied to my thread,

Just to clear things up...

1.My status might say new heliman but I have been flying now for 2 years and have only had one crash.

2. I know its a lot of money, but it's MY money!!! and Hey-Its
ONLY MONEY! Thats why we have it-to spend it.

3. I still have the original canopy so I can use that too!!

I am just about to order the canopy.

So it's too late you can't stop me now.

For relevance: I have owned an Arizona Heli canopy (http://www.happyhangar.com/thumbnails.php?album=9) and have nothing but excellent things to say about Bill Ludwig. (yes, that canopy is crashed and sitting mashed up in my garage)

A nice painted canopy is nothing more than BLING. Most people buy upgrades to their heli's to distinguish them from all the others... A nice canopy is the most noticable thing on a heli and many, including myself, realy dig that. If you have the money to spend, feel comfortable to do so without anyone preaching otherwise.

If you want a decent, reputable person to get your canopy from, I have high regard for Bill at Arizona Heli and wouldn't hesitate recommending him.

regards,
Jake

Vortech

Also, Dazzler!, you call yourself the Dazzler!, But where is the Dazzle???
The Dazzle is in the flying, not the looks , even though my heli's do look good with the stock canopies I can still Dazzle the eyes with looks, just you Arizona Heli Canopy guys might not be Dazzled by it, but the average Joe likes em'

Maybe I'll start making fiberglass painted booms, and sell them to you guys for $100, now thats a deal!!!

Think about this!, when you go buy a new car or truck, notice how nice and shiney the clearcoat of the paint is!, that is the kind of work and finish that Bill does on his canopies!, When you buy a new vehicle, this is what you expect, right?, What if you went to pick up your new vehicle, There was a Crappy paint job, with some stickers, stuck on it!!, I think this would ruin your whole day, Huh?,. Also, what if, while driving your new vehicle home, some jack ass runs right into you,"Crashing" into your new pride and joy!!, All of the above mentioned, is just a chance you have to take!, You can stand there and laugh, if I crash my $150.00 canopy, But guess what, I dont give a Crap what you think!!, It just shows your resentment towards others, for having something a little better than what you have!,
