I dont know if I would recomend putting new cells with your older ones but if you have a few of the 3s2p packs with a simaler number of runs on them it might be ok. I would make sure to check the balance closley untill you know they are working good.

Hey McKoi,Are the Tanic packs still around or are they classed as old technology already? I have a couple of 3s2p packs, do you think it is safe to take them apart to remake a 4s or 4s2p? Any idea on the HS with this setup with a 14t pinion since this is the smallest pinion I have?
the tanics cells are fine if you add a cell just make sure you balence the cells.... due to Tanics unsavory bissiness practices I will not contiune to sell his product any longer...the 2nd gen ThunderPower are as good if not alittle higher c rated next month TP will have 12c rated 2100's yeeee haaaa ,
yes 2500 range HS with 14T

Shall I balance them by charging them or discharging them, I was thinking discharge would be more accurate. I don't suppose you have any 2200 loose cells left? maybe 4

Helifool,

I learned last year about this time there is no use beating yourself up just because new cells came out. buy the best you can when you are ready to buy but dont buy more than you need for the year! It's almost as bad as computers.
