Several good radios out there. My favorites currently are the Futaba 9C or the new 7C.

The hitec eclipse 7 is another great buy at $220 shipped with the spectra synthesized frequency module from http://www.allerc.com . Futaba's synthesized frequency modules have some compatability issues (bergs don't like them) but so far everything works with the hitec module.

The key things you want in a helicopter TX are 5-point throttle and pitch curves so you can tune head speed and pitch response on the throttle stick correctly.
