Hope they gave you a good deal on the parts since you spent all that cash there! Also I bet the problem with the pulley was there when you bought the heli.

I had the same thing happen to my old ergo 60 and I have seen it happen to a few vigors out at the field.

I bought a used standard Vigor not long ago and besides changing the gear ratio the only other thing I changed on the main mechanics were the front and rear tail belt pulleys to the all metal ones. I heard too many horror stories about the plastic ones so I thought it was a worthwhile upgrade. I am suprised that the one you purchased did not have this upgrade already installed.
I have some extra 84 tooth main gears, clutch bells and other misc parts if you are interested. Let me know.

thanks but no thanks, this vigor is upgraded and then some already. but if you look at the pic, or even check out my gallery, and you will notice a rather heavy tail body section. all steve ever did was FAI and fast flyby's with it, he never loaded up the tail like i was when i was doing 3D with it. he didn't need the metal pulleys, and having that extra little bit of metal hanging at the end of the tail would not have helped the already heavy tail. he even debated putting the metal levers on it but the performance difference over rode the weight issue. since i will be doing a couple conversions such as a metal head block and muscle pipe, metal pulleys will also be a part of that, after that i wont/shouldn't need anything, if i do i could always try get something from the Gray's stash of parts as Sluggo was saying. i did a fair bit of research on the Vigor, but i guess i didn't do enough, otherwise the plastic pulleys would have been the first to go. it will be a couple weeks before i can afford to even start buying parts, but i'll keep this up to date.

PS. Sluggo, i know you wont likely remember me, but you have met me in real life before on a few occasions.

Final Tally:
tail out put shaft
tail blade grips
main blade spindle (upgraded to metal head block which came with a new spindle)
Rotor Tech main and Tail blades
a few rod links on the head
replaced melted plastic pulleys with metal ones (the belt is fine, just had a layer of melted plastic on it)
G-10 right side frame
G-10 fuel tank mount
the stock muffle was not only crushed, but it actually had RIPPED a hole in it, now i have the Muscle Pipe 2 on it
carbon boom
hollow main shaft
main shaft bearings
skids
fly bar
a bulkdead at the rear above the skid mounts
of course i cant forget that beutiful Rappide Body kit
pain killers for my wallet.
and there is probably something missing, but that about does it

I have spent a fair bit of time/money rebuilding this machine, FliteCraft has helped out to an unreal extent. i still have to get some time to do a bit more work before i can get her running, but that should be within the week. on a side note, for those of you who aren't aware yet, the local club (Tri-City-Twisters of Kitchener/Waterloo) has a new website made by a member. http://twisters.arsoft.ca/ he did an awsome job.
