Right now, we have the dates, the AMA sanction is applied for and planning is well under way. All the details will be posted to the web site and I will "bump" this topic when significant additions are made on the site. We are planning on this being a "fun" fly and learning experience for pilots of all skill levels and hope to even have a "hover only" area for those of us not into the forward flight arena, along with demo flights by a few factory pilots. I fly with all these guys at the LaVista field and, let me tell ya, these guys know how to have a good time.
If you don't go cause you're concearned there might be people there who are better than you, don't be afraid. In the 10 years that I've been fly'n heli's, one thing I've noticed is that those guys are usually the ones who you can most benifit from and they are usually the nicest ones at the event. After all, they didn't get to where they're at now by not knowing what they're talking about or being hermits.
Come on out and have a great time. I gaurentee, it won't be a trip wasted.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		yeah, I think the Council Bluffs fun fly concept this year is great....The field permit dues at the omaha la vista flying site are $40 this year....I have no problem with the 'regular out of town fliers' as long as everybody that flies there is sharing the love.

It was a pretty mid air that Jon somehow autorotated down to safety !
Don't know how you did it, but you made it down?! A crash in my vocabulary is when you can't fly again that day until you spend more money on parts ! But either way, lets do it again.....without the extra expense!
