thats twice in a 12 month period!!! PLEASE use this as a reason to set that damn helicopter another 20 feet away and use your head!! I'm amazed we're doing as well as we are with the safety practices I see....

We've all been guilty of flying too close... shame we need incidences like this to remind us about safety concerns!

This is a very sad incident. I my self nearly got hit yesterday by a Venture 30 at our field. I litteraly had to run for my life while I was flying my R50. The Venture crashed in my flight station but we were lucky no one was injured. We all have to be very carefull and stay alert at all times while we fly.

--------So that's what this switch is for!!!

this is not good. not good at all. If there was a way to go back in time and prevent this from ever happening, I would give my right arm to do it. My preayes and condolences go out to the family of the boy. Without knowing all the details, I imagine the person who was flying this helo is not doing well emotionally or mentally.

PLEASE keep safety first guys. None of us like to see anyone hurt or killed.

I see people give their condolences or how sad however we do not know what we are sad about. This is the second thread about this in the past week but no one can come up with a translation.

I read and write hebrew, can you post the actual link to the article please. Man that stinks, this should never happen especially with a kid. I have two of my own so I can only imagine what they are feeling.

Dsilver668, the original link posted by Juvaknin was http://www.ynet.co.il/home/0,7340,L-8,00.html, not sure if it works but maybe you could search ynet.co.il and let us all know the full story?

I have family in Israel & am very sad to hear this.

I wish his family a long life.

Once my Shuttle got into the sun & was heading for me so I crashed it on purpose to stop it from hitting me! It hit the ground 30ft away from me & bounced off the pilot's fence to my right & stopped just 5ft away. I counted my lucky stars after that one.

I cannot stress enough how bloody dangerous our helis are. They're essentially flying circular saws with tip speeds over 250mph/400kmh. Each blade is just as deadly as a bullet if it breaks loose.

I'm deaf & value my eyesight & get very nervous even hovering 30ft away. My worst nightmare is going blind from a blade taking my eyes out. Extra nervous when checking the tracking. I try to keep my heli at least 20ft way when hovering at all times.

Play safe, guys & keep your wits about you, helis are not toys!
