I'm wanting a bigger heli !! 60,80,90 or maybe a gasser, I want a quality heli too,,, and I like the Bergen's control system, you know, the Collective Pitch Control Arm and how the servo mounts on it,,, so, do the Bergens have a high parts count ?!! I know they are a high quality heli but how do they fly ?!! And do they have a 90 or a conversion for there 60 to up it to a 90 ?!!
Thanks

the Wasp

keep it fast and in control

Bergen

Being a happy owner of a Intreped gasser. I would give them a call at
616-445-2060. Chris will be happy to answer any question you
have. Parts in two days and at resonable prices. How does 6 hours or
more of air time on a gallon of pump gas sound ? Flying is smooth and precise, lots of torque. Fast and responsive on the controls. If you have
built stacked frame heli's before, this is a cake walk to put together.
If you can, go to a fun fly, see one in action. The parts count is less than
other heli's in this class. Repair / maintance are compairable if not easer and cheaper. Seems to hold up vary well even when one impacts (frozen) terra firma. << Vapor>>

The Bergen gasser is an excellent heli. Here is a listing of what has broken after 50 GALLONS of gas. 1. Paddle broke off the fly bar, this was my fault because it was not screwed on all the way. 2. Pull start rope. Can you show me any other Heli with a track record like that. Running gasoline it will always start on the 4th pull and with white gas it will start on the 5 th pull. Excellent and precision flying characteristics. If you would like to see mine fly we can meet during the week.

Hey Wasp,

All of the Bergen heli's are high quality, and the part count is close to 661. That includes ever nut bolt and washer. The Bergen also has 60 + bearings.

The Bergens fly real good, And if you want the YS 80 or the OS 90 you can get the 11 tooth or the 12-tooth pinion. No conversion needed all you do is shim the motor out about a couple of thousandth and Chris can instruct you how to do this. The shim is only for the difference of the pinion gears. Maybe this will help.

Thumbs Up

We have 2 of the industrial Twins that Bergen makes.

They are just as good as the other people have said in posts.

But, I also want to add that Bergen does not sit around on old designs.

There has occasionally been parts that needed update, and they did it. They are constantly refining their designs.

Yes, at first it looks like a clone of an Xcell, but after you work with a Bergen, you will see that it's a higher-caliber heli than Xcell (a great heli as well).

As I always say: "If it's not Carbon or Aluminium, then it should not be on your heli".

(Bergens use G-10 on the frames, Xcells NOW are using G-10, so it looks like they are now learning from Bergen now.)

Hey Rusty! :)

Just saw you there and wanted to say hi. Hope to see ya' at IRCHA again this year.

Yes the Bergen machines are a real Caddilac. My 46 has been through the ringer more than once, and it's still going strong as ever. My 3D is also tons of fun, but I've only had it for about 10 months, most of it winter, but it's holding together like a Bergen.
