My Posts This: Topic Forum | The Hornet with 3S LiPo draws about 3.6 A when hovering, maybe the double at full pitch when banging around, so there's no prob with the E-Tecs or Kokams you mentioned either.
BTW: those 3.6 are figured out of ~ 40 Watts you need to keep the bird in the air no real matter which motor (ok, efficiency is a factor ...) at it's usual weight ~ 300 g or below and tested on my CP.
