Brett Looks like you are doing fine with the gas bird! Great pictures! You have got to come back up and fly with us some more, maybe get some shots of the new field while you are here.

More warmth for you guys up north.

I live in an area with some of the most expencive residential real estate in the world. Unfortunately, 90% of the homes are oceanfront, riverfront of intracostal front, so reliable gear is a good thing unless you want to go swimming. On the upside... I can charge the realtors a premium for the added risk

John:

So do you just fly it out there from shore or take off and land on a boat?

Boat

I have a 1/4 scale aircraft carrier

Trick is to stand of to the side and fly out over the water so there's not a goofy looking R/Cer in the picture with a funny antenna sticking out from his belly.

Oops,

Great work & nice shooting.

Takes balls to fly over water, even bigger ones if it is salt water that you are flying over.

Beautiful shots John,
The uniform spacing of the blue shades on the beach is a nice touch.

daggit,
I've been considering firing a flash from the mount in order to stop the falling flakes, but yet still have enough ambient light to properly expose the subject. Or maybe try an additional slave flash on the ground on full. Anyway, 10"-16" forcasted for tomorrow. Might give this a try after skiing.

Cheers,
Jeff

that sounds cool Jeff. Use a low level flash so the flakes aren't too dominent in the pic?

sounds like kind of a challenge to me. go for it!

The beauty of shooting digital, and if you cannot safely pilot the heli from somewhere out of the frame, is that it is only a 2-3 click job with the clone stamp in Photoshop.
