I am assembling a new raptor 50 -- i am at the stage where i am putting the main gear on the shaft and meshing it with the clutch bell. On my raptor 30 it moves very freely - this one is very tight and will not free spin -- is this just something that needs to break in?

thanks

Don't worry.

I went through the same thing when I converted my 30 to a 46 with the TT conversion kit. The upgrade 85 tooth gear is a hair larger than the stock 86. Run a few tanks though it and it will cut itself in and fit just fine.

I just converted it again to the constant drive gear system from Helihut that has a CNC machined composite 84 tooth gear and it too was tight, but after one flight it loosed up a bit and I have no doubt it will be just fine as did the others.

You're gonna like it! Much better gas mileage than the stock gear when using a bigger motor.
