Here is a movie of my Concept 60 from this summer. The quality is not the best because I had to shrink it down from I-movie but it is a good fast-paced video. Let me know what you guys think.LINK NOW DEAD 5-6-04

An "Uh Oh" while inverted is never good. Not much damage for an inverted landing, nice job...

81/2 minute flight on a 8 minute tank.I think the smoke was from going lean as I ran out of gas.The GV-1 helped mask the warning lean over-rev.I was just trying to get one more inverted hover out of the tank.Tailblades, flybar, and tail gears were the only damage.$40 total.Crash happened on a Friday night. Most of the footage is from the next evening.

Your inverted auto needs a little work

I gota ask, why do you have the tail boom supports mounted so low? and I can attest to the lack of damage

A LOT of work.I just tried to keep it level..As far as the boom supports,I got it that way from local flyer.

Looks like the St Charles field wher the AL F. funfly is held I have been there the last 2 years with Jeff Rankin. Very nice job on keeping it level and killing head speed before touch down

Never mind. Played it with QuickTime.

When you have that kind of flame out, you could do two things:

1. Try to roll the heli ASAP as the flame out happens.
2. Lower the heli as close as possible to the ground and keep applying neg collective to float the heli there until the headspeed vanished.

Is that you saying Uh-Oh or the camera man?

If it was I have to give you credit for the calmest Uh-Oh I have ever heard. And it looks like you maxed out your collective at that exact time.

Just hope I stay so cool.................when it happens to me.

I did something similar last weekend with my EVO. Only my second tank in the ship and I was down trimming the grass when I ran out of gas (I was having way to much fun). Managed to get it flipped back over and only broke the verticle fin and the landing gear. Had my buddy not been standing there and told me to flip it over I was going to try and land it upside down like you ended up. The crash actually cost my 0$ as I replaced the landing gear with used Fury struts and left off the verticle fin..

I picked a hell of a day to quit drinking
